The Mama Made is the result of a brilliant collaboration between a mother and her son. Irini (the mother) is based in Greece. Naturally, she’s an expert crocheter and has been working on commissions for classic doilies forever. Irini is full of ideas and energy, and needed a new challenge. So, Michail (the son), based in London, found an interesting way to channel his talent.
Being a fashion stylist – who has worked on presentation and styling for brands such as Burberry and Vivienne Westwood – he is the style master behind the brand (or at least that’s what he thinks – says Irini) . Together, they have teamed up to create eco-friendly fashion and lifestyle collections that blend traditional craft techniques, seen with fresh eyes.
Aiming to bring some familiar cozy comfort to our contemporary lifestyle, they are committed to producing handmade, eco-friendly, 100% natural, smart and comfortable fashion accessories including handbags, hats, gloves and scarves, as well as homewares like rugs, doormats, laundry baskets, beanbags and cushions.
