The Mama Made is the result of a wonderful mother-son collaboration. Irini (the mother) is based in Greece. Naturally, she is a seasoned crochet technician and has been working on classic doily commissions forever. Irini is full of ideas and energy and needed a new challenge. So, Michail (the son), based in London, found an interesting way to channel his talent. Being a fashion stylist – having worked on presentation and styling for brands such as Burberry and Vivienne Westwood – he is the style master behind the brand (or so he thinks – according to Irini). Together, they have partnered to create sustainable fashion and lifestyle collections that blend traditional artisan techniques, seen with fresh eyes.
