Salle des vignerons offers a unique sensory experience based on ancient Greek wine. For 45 minutes, you’ll be immersed in the atmosphere of a symposium as it took place in ancient times.

Tasting and flavours of Antiquity
The Salle des vignerons offers more than just wine. In fact, snacks inspired by ancient recipes accompany the tasting.
Gradually, you discover how the Greeks combined food and wine at banquets. As a result, the experience provides a better understanding of the cultural and social dimension of the symposium.
Ancestral techniques and authentic
During the tour, you’ll explore ancient winemaking techniques. In particular, you’ll discover how a domestic grape mill works.
What’s more, you get to touch amphorae and various serving utensils used in ancient times. This hands-on approach makes for a lively, educational experience.
Finally, you can sit on the throne of the Cretan king Minos or recline on an anáklintron, the traditional Greek banqueting chaise longue. In this way, immersion becomes complete.
