In Tirnavos, Thessaly, the cultivation of vines and the distillation of grapes are part of a deeply-rooted heritage.
For over sixty years, Vasdavanos Winery & Distillery has been developing these two activities simultaneously, shaping a singular identity in the Greek landscape. The estate is constantly evolving, with the gradual modernization of its facilities, the expansion of its winemaking facilities and the structuring of a distillery integrated into the production site.

Our location, between the wine-growing plains and the hills, has a direct influence on the typicity of the grapes and the quality of the pomace used for our spirits.

Vasdavanos signs several ranges:
– Erotico,
– Sta Filia,
– 4 Seasons,

to which is added a premium line, Myles, including Oinothoe and Syllektikon.

Production covers reds, whites and rosés, with a focus on grape varieties suited to Thessaly’s continental climate. Styles oscillate between accessible cuvées and more ambitious profiles, focused on the expression of terroir.

Spirits

The distillery produces:
– traditional tsipouro,
– Greek liqueurs,
– grape-based spirits,
– and Dekaraki, the emblematic tsipouro brand associated with the local terroir.

The presence of Dekaraki in the Vasdavanos ecosystem underlines the technical mastery of distillation in a region considered to be one of the historic centers of tsipouro.

Tirnavos is one of Thessaly’s best-known wine-growing areas.
The combination of alluvial soils, a climate with marked amplitudes and an ancient wine-growing tradition creates an environment conducive to the production of fruity wines and aromatic brandies.

Distillation relies on modern equipment integrated into a 2,500 m² structure, while vinification uses stainless steel vats, gentle pressing and thermal control techniques.
The balance between family know-how and contemporary tools is one of the pillars of the estate’s identity.

Few Greek houses are able to produce, under the same name, wines for regular consumption, premium cuvées and distillates representative of the terroir.
Vasdavanos is one of these exceptions.
