Eladaki produces an organic, polyphenol-rich extra virgin olive oil from century-old orchards on the mountain slopes of Rethymno. Produced in small batches, it combines delicate flavors with health benefits.
Family & terroir: a love handed down through four generations
The Xeroudakis family farming tradition, rooted in the Moires region, goes back centuries. George Chr. Xeroudakis, fourth generation, continues this passion with respect for the land and the trees. The olive trees are of the “Mastoid” type, grafted on wild varieties, grown organically on mountainous terrain that is difficult to mechanize – all stages, from harvesting in October to pressing, are carried out by hand.
Taste profile and health benefits
This oil is characterized by a fruity flavor punctuated by a slight bitterness and a hint of spiciness. Upon opening, it delivers a lively, herbaceous aroma, followed by a “spicy return” on the palate. These sensations are the signature of a highly polyphenol-rich oil, validated by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA).
