Dictamus
Dictamus cultivates and processes aromatic herbs endemic to Crete, such as dittany, sage, mountain tea and cistus, to offer pure organic infusions in keeping with Mediterranean tradition.
A company rooted in the Cretan soil
Based near Heraklion, Dictamus selects plants directly from the island’s rocky gorges and mountains, where unique microclimates favor herbs like dittany (Origanum dictamnus). Harvested responsibly between May and September, the leaves are dried naturally to preserve their aroma and quality.
Range of infusions & authentic scents
Dittany from Crete: slightly bitter, spicy fragrance, renowned for its antiseptic properties
Mountain tea (Sideritis/Malotira): mild, caffeine-free infusion, rich in antioxidants
Cretan sage (Salvia triloba): delicate, with typical herbaceous notes, highly prized.
Other herbs: cistus, mint, lemon verbena, carefully prepared according to local tradition.
Each infusion is available in bulk or in Karteraki® sachets, designed to preserve the purity of the plants.
Quality & naturalness
Gathered in the wild, these herbs are mechanically sorted and cleaned to guarantee a product free of dust and impurities.
Open-air drying, no additives, no pesticides: respect for the traditional natural preservation process prevails.
Customized HoReCa and retail packaging, compliant with international standards, with full traceability and environmental commitment.
Uses & health tips
Hot infusion: relaxation, digestion, well-being (5-10 g of herb per 5-minute infusion).
Cold infusion: refreshing and natural for summer.
Culinary aromatization: sage and rockrose add flavor to marinades, vinaigrettes and Mediterranean dishes.
